All BJT transistorized voltage regulator. It can hold upto 2.9A 11.9V. The input voltage variation of 20 to 30V is allowed. 

The working principle of this regulator ckt background greatly depends on 1mA constant current source which is feeding to the base of darlinton paired power transistor and darlinton pair power transistor voltage sensing resistors and transistors network.
