press button for bounce. the CD40193 is effective at counting switch contact bounces. it's not very good at eliminating it. which makes it quite unreliable for toggling.

Mmm...how about adding a 7-segment display showing the number of bounces?

Ok, you post a link which means you can't add a 7-segment display or perhaps this link shows how someone did it?

The total number of pulses is unimportant. Important is what come out at modulo 1bit.

So when are you building a "Contact Bounce Counter" complete with 7-segment displays or will you post another link?

The total number of pulses is unimportant. Important is what comes out at modulo 1bit. LSB odd or even nothing else matters, or you have to do it by your own if you cant follow my explanations and faceblast's link.

"Contact Bounce Counter" and not ""Modulo 1 bit output counter", I'm sure faceblast appreciates your interpretation of his circuit, however, the question remains, when will faceblast post his "Contact Bounce Counter" complete with a 7-segment display?

Cool, thank you, now we can the relay bounces recorded numerically, I knew it wasn't outside your scope of capabilities...

Hey, what's going on? Yep, the 7-segment display is there but it isn't connected. Why haven't you connected it into the circuit? Too challenging?

Lemmy there is already a counter for you. And even 1bit is a counter, might surprise you.
