Moving coil/moving magnet RIAA input stage in a Technics SU-V10 amplifier To simulate both cartridge types, two signal generators have been included. The one on the far left corresponds to a "Moving Coil" cartridge, and the other simulates a "Moving Magnet" cartridge. Each has a different amplitude and is selected using the switch located at the circuit input. When using the "MC" cartridge, the gain must be adjusted by closing the switch that places the 10 and 150 ohm resistors in parallel. In the original device, when the "MC" cartridge is selected, the gain adjustment switch also closes, and it opens when the "MM" cartridge is selected.
