Works, but not at all efficient. Compare the orange trace (consumption of LEDs) to the blue (total consumption of circuit).

Also, after several iterations I often get a "cannot find a solution" error. If I run the simulation slowly (100ms/s) it helps, but at 1s/s always the error. Guessing it's a simulation error.

Change the capacitor to 10mF and the simulation has no problem

Thanks WTF, I tried a smaller cap and that helps, but I still get the error sometimes. Not consistently anymore though.

On transformer try making secondary turns match the primary and dropping the primary inductance a little
