You short circuited the battery trough the 555

Battery is actually backwarded. You have to connect pins 8 and 4 to the positive. There is no capacitor between pins 6 and 2 and ground, so if you are trying to make an astable 555, it won't work that way. Also LED has no current-limiting resistor

I don't know what your background is, but just about every thing that could be done wrong was done in your circuit. Using your circuit components, I have put them into a circuit that works. Draw your circuit on paper and compare it with the changed one. See if you can understand the differences.
