•The 18v source and in-line cut off switch act as the solar panel. •The 300F capacitor acts as the battery. Any battery or cap bank can be substituted as long as it is voltage compatible. •The second in-line cut off switch acts as the ldr circuit. Our radio club had a professional wind and solar installer answer questions on solar power. Make hay when sun shines and stop one hour before sun goes down to recharge batteries. Popular to do 48 volt storage charge and when lowered to 12 volts you get amperage boost. About 7 years now to see return on investment. All kinds of in and out to consider so I would recommend a professional for best results.
