Don't do it without a series diode on pin 3 and a back diode across the relay coil. Also, you're better off using an external transistor to buffer the timer output.

Well its just to make a connection on a button press for a radio automatically. The second circuit with the led is just wires soldered to the button on the radio. Its still a work in progress, i wanna change the station at intervals. Yes its a spirit box.. but im sti very novice on it all much thanks for your comment. Help would be appreciated.

Is there any way to make the relay close shorter then open? Want the relay to close loop short then it stays open.
