horrible layout, and this is a typical voltage follower, or emitter follower, or impedance converter, or common collector circuit which is preferably used by noobs, but in this case its at least symetric and fair, so one can see NPN and PNP transistor performace is identical, which most noobs di wrong, but you @lab10 gratulation made it correct and comparable! Now think about if TTL is done this way, cuz with every gate stage in series you are loosing 0.7V and you do not gain the signal in voltage just in current.
