Its not free voltage. Ec just allows you to use components without having to hook up every power source for every component you have. You don't just get a magical triangle that amplifies signals with no power other than the signal applied. There are very very few exceptions to this if you are talking about a decice that uses the signal to power itself ( like a sound powered phone). No free voltage, do not pass go, do not collect $200.
