Binary counter and binary decoder

It counts in one bit square wave to 1 to 4 decimal order. It toggles from the square-wave input to count it in binary code with a toggle flip flop(top logic gates), then it decodes the 2-bit binary to decode(bottom logic) it to decimal form. It's screwy at first, because it has no information yet. BLUE RESULT----INPUT SQUARE WAVE LEFT 2-LEDs------BINARY CODE RIGHT 4-LEDs---1-4 DECIMAL

This is a mousetrap! Its not a two bit counter, its a one bit counter you should mention this. You just sorted out the 4 phases of a jk-master-slave FF. In german its called "Viertaktschaltung"

True Hurz, I did do that on purpose, because it's easier and you can get to "4" with just one ff. You are right about the 1-bit. Interesting. Lol.

I just said this to not push beginners into the wrong direction. Keep on inventing

Thankyou, Hurz. By the way, I'm going to do a 2-bit counter, with a 7-segment "8" display. Check it out, when it gets posted.

Ahhh, but again only octet 0-7?

Technically, it's from 1 to 3, on a octet display. I don't have much room to go higher that "3" with a counter and everything else.

I used this in the past together with an oscillator as so called Quadratur Oscillator which is able to give you over almost unlimited frequency range a sinwave and coswave.
