Inductor vs Capacitor

This is just a test curcuit im made while reading wikipedia lol So im still new at this but bear with me im teaching myself. An Inductor is a coil wrapped around a metal usually iron that temporarily stores a current in a magnetic field(flux).Inductance varies based on the size and shape of the metal vs coil turns A Capacitor is 2 plates 1- and 1+ separated by an insulator used to store energy in an electrical field, the larger plates and the narrower the gap the larger the capacitance. Its odd how they do the same thing but are so different at the same time If im wrong on any of this please correct me it will not be taken as an insult. I hope this helps some people. http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Inductor http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Capacitor
