Full wave bridge rectifier with smoothing capacitor

It is a typical example of full wave bridge rectifier to convert AC to DC. Since rectified output is pulsating DC, a smoothing capacitor is used to get nearly constant DC. One can visualise smoothing effect by using switch at capacitor end.
