Connecting a CD40193 Counter

wiring for CD40193 presettable synchronous up/down counter. - LOAD input is inverted, must be held high or it won't count. if LOAD is floating, weird crap happens. - COUNT UP/DOWN inputs are held high. clock one or the other. don't leave either floating around either or it'll do weird stuff. - RESET input has to be held low. don't float it. - DATA 1/2/4/8 might as well be low too, I didn't notice any weird effects with these floating though. probably safer to hold them low. - output source current through 1k resistors is about 5ma at 5V, I wouldn't go above this. it should probably be less.
