Limit the current with mosfet

I have modified this circuit for a constant current of 2mA. You can increase the current by changing the upper left 1kOhm. E.g.constant current = 2V/1kOhm=2mA The output impedance can be upto 14kOhm in this configuration. The lower left resistor to ground is our output! http://everycircuit.com/circuit/5682976898416640

i made an update for constant 20mA its just more popular to drive an LED and not just a dead resistor. 😜

I'm checking my design in order to apply it on my charging circuit. The current must be limited below 1A

That wont work if your initial voltage is 89V tooooo much power dissipation and heat inside your circuit which is actually a linear regulator. Only on example calculation to your lower mosfet. it does drop now 88.4V at 1.2A thats a power dissipation of 106W just into heat! This you have carfully to rethink and rework. Have fun

Don't worry. I just check the theory. My real input is only 6V
