Here is circuit where you can control the current through four LEDs from 0 to about 19 mA you can extend this circuit just add more PNP transistors and LEDs the LEDs go from totally off to full brightness as you adjust the variable resistor % 0 to %100 if are going to build this circuit each transistor power rating has to be greater then 300 mW
