Once you flip the SPST switch the voltage source will short and instantly kill the car's battery at the cost of having a battery replacement. (this was made specifically for EV cars like Tesla's. KIA's, etc.)

I’m no expert, but I do know that EV batteries are huge, with an ability to produce an immense amount of current. I would think that shorting that kind of battery would be INCREDIBLY dangerous. It would produce intense heat and probably explode, producing the added danger of toxic fumes. A slow discharge would be the only safe way to eliminate the stored energy.
