8 Bit counter (Digital Input 1 selects up/down)
0 means up, 1 means down...useful for a linear encoder
Digital Input 3 is the reference signal...if running over reference, than reset the counters to 0.
The dot at the digits show if output is "valid" (Not processing carry operation, which might lead to wrong readouts!)
