Why does the circuit on the bottom not show the power unless you remove the one on the top?

I guess you are talking about the little bubbles on the wires? The reason, they are animated in speed and brigthness proportional to its current. The top circuit overrules the lower circuit by far! Only if the top circuit stops its current the lower one can be visible animated. Hope you understand.
