I like the idea of using a zener with a 13mA CC, but you could just use a 2.5V battery. The circuit would be simpler

A 2.5V DC source is the best and easiest model for a voltage reference, but if you like to show more details about your reference, here its a zener, why not. I would have placed a DC source cuz it was not the main topic the reference.
