@wyoelk, yours is a horrible configured oscillator and you must be lucky to push right in time. Needs some rework.

Lenny, what and why have you changed? Anyway, yours and also this one here is not working if you look closer at 20ms/s so it has a high chance to not work in real.

i changed everything back what Lenny made except the increase from 1 to 10k at the lower right BJT, and i additional changed the relay resistance which wasn't correct for a 12V relay, and check at 20ms/s timebase a switch will help cuz erverything you apply must be done 50times slower. Handel it very very slowly and check what time it is on the scope. 300ms at least for a press and 1s for a release. No Lenny, the circuit now gets more and more obfuscated and when the LEDs are on you cant switch them back off with a long press. They turn off but after a short while back on again 🤔 And we are waiting what you have found and why you have changed in the beginning. Collaborative is more communicative. Its not a oneway you publish again and again solition we look at till you get sonething to work. So far the previews version was best, but we are waiting about some text what you have found and why you thing it can be changed with which means. More communication Lenny !
