This simple and classic transistor based multivibrator makes a good LED flasher. It uses very few componenets. Transistors are small general purpose ones. You can use BC547, 2N2222, 2N3904 or similar.

and another dumbass glitch in this version of EC where you have to use either the switch or shake to start workaround, you could have also used a NC push button
