First of all, some of you need to chill and take the discussions about new components offline, or discuss it in this thread of comments. It is not Ok to post your requests randomly as comments to other people's circuits and post as public circuits. Let's keep it cool and respect each other. Here is the list of additional components that we have already implemented. Some more testing is needed. They will be released in bunches in the following updates: 1. Center-tapped transformer 2. Relay 3. JFETs 4. Logic source 5. Latches 6. Triggers 7. Darlington pairs 8. Voltage regulators 9. Eight segment display 10. Controller for that 11. Counter 12. 555 timer - Yay! 13. ADC 14. DAC 15. MUX

Spectacular! That'll be a huge improvement. So much possibilities with the new components. The only 2 things that are still missing are a thyristor and a cathode ray tube. I'd much like to try and design a valve amplifier in EC or a thyristor oscillator. But hey beggers can't be choosers. The component I like the most from the newly implemented is the relay. I have some great delay circuits written down that involve a relay. The 555 timer is great too. I recently saw a 555 AM circuit that I'd really like to try. Great job Igor!

Also I'd like to thank you for this app. That's what got me into electronics and enabled me to complete my technologically directed high school education. Now I'm planning on continuing it in our technical university here in Sofia. Bow.

Epic. Cant wait for the update. These new components will make making circuits so much easier. You should make white LEDs though. Keep up the good work.

Time to give up on that 8-bit flash ADC I was working on. Oh well. In all seriousness, that many new components (most of them non-basic) is amazing. You've done more than my initial $10 or whatever deserves.

actually how do we message each other privately? i want to get in touch with kurtz and hurz and sine and etjake and buggs and VT and mamish and that old guy and secuture but without giving out my public details to everyone

Thanks guys. Feedback and requests like this helps to set priorities, e.g., social network features vs AC analysis vs more components, etc.

Could "groups" be created somhow. Igor, $10, I think many would pay more for say an Advanced level with advanced design so as to still see and help beginners but not confuse them with stuff they have never seen or used yet, i.e. opamps, scrs, whoops(request slip there), etc... Still thanks for this ROCKIN, AWESOME app. And thanks to ECEB, (educational board)kurtz, hurz, sine, etjake, buggs, VT and secuture for their knowledge, oh, and Igor

Hey you know what'll be great. A mic component that represents the phone mic in the graph and a speaker from which to hear the simulated signal. That will be awesome!

Have a wire icon up top to place wires wherever and however ud like. Placement and length, would be good for antenas. Oh and a mic, that would be good for many applications as well. Plenty of other stuff. Just so much to think. 555 timer would be awesome, decade counter. I could go forever lol. Of course its just ideas for Igor cause hes doing pretty good with the app and customer help. Thanks Igor!

@hamilton1300, "shake" the schematic with the mouse. Grab the empty space in the schematic and quickly move the mouse back and forth.

I just bought the 555, can I buy a component to display wattage across other components now? :)
cjdelphi
As for a voltage regulator maybe 2 component, an adjustable and a constant voltage (which is essentially what your voltage source is now) so an lm317 or the tl431 shunt regulator as an adjustable reg...
cjdelphi
Oh yes an actual button (property of having debounce, true, 😎 false) to trigger components off... without pressing twice eg 555 example.
cjdelphi
Since you made a 555... how about a 4017 :)

It would be perfect if you could also add power engineering devices. For example three phase source, three phase transformer (YY,YD,DD ), Power Electronics etc. We would gain great intuition in that part of electric circuits too. Thanks in advance..!!
cjdelphi

Not before he adds watts dissipated across components. .. sick of calculating wattage!
cjdelphi

Do you think you could change the fet icons so they match 9/10 circuit diagrams I come across online? The N-channel points in .. 9 out of 10 times...
cjdelphi

Do I need to plead over and over again for the wattage to be calculated across components? pllllllluuuuuhhhheeeeeeezzzzzeeeeeew :)
Igor

@cjdelphi it's on the to do list. Please be patient, there are lots of other things we are working on :)
cjdelphi

I noticed you're venturing into the 4xxx and 7xxx series chips, what would be very very very useful would be a shift register like the 7hc595... later on down, phase locked loops... but the 7hc595 and the 555 deliver some very funky LED chasers :D

What about pushbuttons? I see them everywhere!

I would appreciate the possibility to set transient analysis manually, setting number of points, time range and maybe waiting for the elaboration instead of watching real time analysis which is very limitative!!

Is there a way of fine tuning inductors? Eg a voltage dc dc booster, depending on frequency, voltage, current, getting the right ratio adjusting every variable to exploit the electromagnetic / mechanical collapsing to produce the most efficient dc to dc converters?

cjdelphi

I think the microphone of the phone being used as a mic in EC would put other simulators to shame lol..
cjdelphi
And of course a speaker for 555 output sythns.., light sensor as an LDR . Some phones support Temperature, that could be an NTC thermistor. Maybe they're too advanced for EC...

Folks, i am new to this everycircuit. First of all, this is awesome for learning. I just have three wishes... 1) can we increase the page size? it's pretty limited to what we can do within such small space. 2) need more components. I am missing like basic 3 input AND gates, I can make it, but ten it takes up entire page :(. 3) sub-circuit option. These features may already exist, and I may not know. Please let me know a link if there are training along that line.

It would be very convenient to have an integrated circuit function (save circuits for use in other circuits). New component suggestions: Solar panel, even parity bit generator, odd parity bit generator, priority encoder, antenna, satellite dish, full adder, half adder, full subtractor, half subtractor, multiplier, divider

I'm new. I teach HVAC. My request would be for components like contactors, fuses, temperature switches, pressure switches, AC Motors, HVAC Thermostats, ect. I would also like to be able to save circuits as video or gifs that show the current flowing so I can add to my class PowerPoints so students can see actual current flow. Is this currently possible? Still learning this software. Love it. Any advice is appreciated.

Is there a way to use an LM386 8 pin as a component on this platform? or is there a way to expand the options for objects to bring down? this cant be it?

I will say like erikjohanson2003, it would be really useful to save circuits as ICs

How about folders to store our cts. I have over 100 random ckts stored and it is difficult to find a particular ckt. Folders would allow me to categorize them.

Seems that many of the more knowledgeable users have moved their design activities to competing apps. CircuitSafari is currently en vogue, seems to be gaining over ECStudio. EveryCircuit is nowadays mostly described as app with a toxic community. Admins have been trying to squelch the permanently ongoing fighting about 6 weeks ago, but to no avail. Updates to EveryCircuit have been infrequent, and not addressing essential points. I'd be surprised if any substantial additions to EveryCircuit will come forward anytime soon, if at all.

Are the ADC, DAC, flipflops and logic train available to android as well? I have had this app on my phone for long already however I do not see it

Hi Igor, I would deeply love to see a new added feature that I think many users would much appreciate and use all the time…. Personally I think it would be so cool to be able to adjust the parasitic capacitances of a transistor (then I and other users could experiment with how it affects RF amplifier behavior for example), please seriously consider when you get the time
