According to its specification this transistor is good for 5A and Vce of about 3V which will cause already 15Watt power dissipation and a big heatsink. So what is this circuit for. As common collector.... wouldn't it be better to use it as common emitter, yes. It would at least dont need this high driver voltage, anyway from were do you get 100VDC?
