Voltage multiplier

You will be suprised how much more voltage then 4kV you get in reality! 230Vrms are 325Vpeak You have 18diodes. Every pair of two diodes gives you 2 times 325V = 650V You have 9 doubling stages which gives in total 9*650V = 5.85kV! Its not the voltage which kills idiots like you its the current and here we have 7mA while your circuits are in the same range. The difference is, this circuit here is obviously dangerous while in yours its not obvious, which makes it extremly dangerous! Your silly circuit in a household fuse is an attempt to murder. Semiconductor parallel to fuses are more then stupid.

Wrong! It is well documented that a few mA can disrupt heart function and potentially kill. Then there are those that have weak hearts or pacemaker users! What IS obvious is that fools like you will happily stick your fingers into circuits with the mains still attached. You can't seem to understand that if a fuse blows you must REMOVE THE POWER BEFORE TAMPERING! As stated before, 'my' circuit was from a well known text book. Similar circuits are plentiful in books and electronics magazines over many years. Your ignorance creates your biased (wrong) opinion. This is the second circuit posted by the user. You give no warning of danger but encourage users to create such circuits time and time again.
