I would suggest the ability to control with I/O pins, along with the push buttons. Just so it can be integrated with external circuitry. That way you can install the driver/motor in a inaccessible area, and also incorporate sensors and logic functions. Unlimited...

Both buttons pressed at the same time causes a problem. This logic state creates more current than necessary.

Thanks for the advice man. That buttons were actually just a placeholder for an external io, so we’re on the same wavelength. How would you suggest I prevent a “2-button” catastrophe?

If you use IOs then dont forget to use current limiting resistors, or your controller will be damaged.
