Can this community calm down a bit please

Edit: After reading the comments, I admit (particular because of what @hurz and @kiani said) that I may have jumped in too early with false assumptions after being gone for several weeks. I take back my accusations, but I still think that everyone around here should learn to have a little respect, and like someone said in the comments (I forget who) I think @hurz should learn to be able to agree to disagree, or at the very least learn how to professionally debate something rather than resort to childish name calling. From what I’ve gathered from my personal experience with him and seeing threads involving him, he is a great source of electronics knowledge, but you cannot disagree with him without facing immature repercussions from him.

Also, I visit EC rather infrequently (several hours apart, maybe even days or more) so I will be slow to update things as I get more information from the comments.

Here is the original description:

@hurz and @kiani seem to be the worst, @lenz has some problems with this but is better than those two, and @2ctiby is in my opinion simply bullied by @hurz and @kiani. Those four are constantly fighting, derailing comment sections, and overall reducing the quality of content here on EC. I don’t see why this has to be. If everyone just respected each other, and yes, respect is a thing, then all should be well. 

A scenario that has happened far too many times is @2ctiby says even one word about MOSFETs, @hurz then attacks him and @kiani joins in on the fight siding with @hurz and @2ctiby ends up bullied. What should happen is @2ctiby says one or more words about MOSFETs, @hurz respectfully disagrees in a professional manner, and a professional and calm debate ensues, not a heated argument that looks like something only children could produce and yet grown adults are doing.

I don’t see why a calm debate seems simply impossible. Would it not be more productive and a better use of time? Why waste energy doing nothing useful in any way by just pointlessly arguing over pretty much nothing?

Robert_Kidd, I'll be rating up EC again, if a much needed spam control feature is made available. It's obvious that lack of such a feature is detrimentory to user experience.

The main issue is the spammmmings and trolls on EC, whom actually downgraded the level of electronics by deliberately reposting of same crap cct. @kiani I copied the number in the link into EC search to look at what you’re linking to and even triple checked it to make sure its correct, but it matched no circuits. Did you delete the circuit or miscopy the link?

It's sad you feel that way. For years, and I do mean years, I did try hard to integrate with all aspects of EC. However, at a point I came to see that there are certain characteristics that do warrant a high degree of absolute need for moderator control. I advocated need for at least an automated method of group creation, ranking that is personal and other ideas. In this way it would be possible to maintain groups that have specific interest. Instead of which, we now have the highest ranking posts that are often either a flagrant abuse of EC in terms of endless repetition of flashing bullshit, or at best an excuse for some attention seeking game.

The worst elements of EC will resort to pedantic insults over your ability in English! This often coming from individuals who clearly posses little command of their own language and who have absolutely no tolerance or understanding for those that use English as a second language. This is both a subject that has little to do with electronics and which in the end demonstrates lack of compassion, sociopathic tendency, racist fascist thinking and worse.

I will add that by creating a post which calls for calm and yet at the same time lists users names may have been inflammatory. After all it is your opinion that lumps these people into the types that you have outlined. No vote is reached. No! No instead you choose to do the other things; not because they are easy or constructive, nor helpful but because they are sensational. You choose to go to the moon with autocratic delineation of your understanding for what you see as being wrong.

It's honestly my opinion that the lentil/ NZLENTI account holder is a person paid by a competition app (a corporate entity). The purpose, is to render EC into unprecedented levels of total dysfunctional chaos. Naturally, we may continue to use the app privately. However, this detracts from the social side of the app, which now is at an all time low. Adding a better threaded comments system to the app is not complex. Indeed, this doesn't even need writing as there are suitable candidates in the public domain, from where such an improved comments system could be rapidly developed.
