Because you did not configured them as 3V leds. EC default is 2V

Anyway, correct resistance for your leds is (5-3V)/0.02=100Ohm

In your description you said you use 3V leds! Why now 2V?

How do I configure the led voltage? I did manage to get them at 3v but it's not 20ma yet. Even 100th didn't come out right.

Woops nvm. I should say at 150 ohm they did even out. But that doesn't seem right.

select a LED and click the tool symbol, change the voltage to your requierements e.g. 3V and use 100Ohm, it suppose to have then 20mA

All I see is nm.which changed the color . I'm not seeing any other settings I can change.

Now I must determined either adding a potentiometer or a 3 toggle switch. I'm not hating much luck with the potentiometer.

Instead of using spdt u can use simple switch between battery & leds...
