http://www.i4at.org/lib2/inverter.htm The output is specified as being capable of supporting a 120VAC @ 300W non inductive load, but in the simulation, the frequency tends to run away due in part EC's inability to truly simulate transformers, particularly center tapped ones. This has now been corrected by the addition of two 10 uF capacitors.

Is 3khz the intened frequency!

It is not stated in the specs, the frequency changed greatly whilst I was trying to adjust the transformer, also I have run lights & fluorescent lights at fairly high frequencies.

The transformer on EC, ehen you put them on top of each other to get center tap,, you ve got to to have secondary with center tap.. It gets confused with (sqr Lp/Ls).. I think there is a way round it by using 3 or 4 transformers to create an unbalanced centertap.. Not sure. Could you not use VCvs or VCCs instead of former! Btw this type of invertor does work, i have done it in the past, running at 2o KHz.

@BillyT, please check the schematics again, diode and resistor on both side are short circuit.

@BillyT, and may i stree the term "subsamplig" you are a specialist in doing this. Take your time and please slow down the simspeed or you get nonsense.

3.5ms/s is much to fast. Needs 100us/s or slower

@hurz, you make valid points, kiani's second circuit is a more accurate representation of what should be.

I ve made a few of these in the past. Not 12 to 120, but pushpul switch mode type with scr pre regulators. High voltage tranis.

I have also made a few in the past to power 40W fluorescent lights using 3055's and wound transformers with trigger windings, I think they were running about 50k and once the tube fired about 120Vrms.
