You need to reduce led resistor to 300ohm and at digital circuit the resisor connect between negative of led and GND

Light of the emitting diode is weak because of 1k ohm resistor so you have to reduce it's value to 300ohm

Finally,at digital circuit the voltage is const and direct so when you put an resistor connect it between negative of emitting diode and GND to make your circuit safe because logic may be affect
