Parallel Fibonacci SCC using relays SCC (Switched Capacitor Converter) is a power converter that uses capacitors instead of inductors. 7-stage Fibonacci SCC boosts the voltage from 12V to approximately 250V. Ripple is reduced by alternating operation of the two SCCs. If you actually build this circuit, use a low ESR capacitor.

I made a single type using an ordinary electrolytic capacitor. Although it did not reach the design voltage, it was able to make the nixie tube glow.
