Proof of concept. The positive from the power supply represents the decoder blue wire. The spdt switch represents the forward and reverse leads for the headlights. The LEDs along with the @560 ohm SMD resistor represent a typical headlight board where the yellow led lights when the unit goes forward and red when the unit moves backward. This circuit shows two such boards. The second board must wired opposite the other.
