internal schematic of a LT1160 from linear technologie.  it act as a half bridge n mosfet driver.  the real one is much more complex,  it as a boost voltage that work in sync with the output, an undervoltage lockout,  and much more. 

This one prevent activating both mosfet if both input are on, lock activating both gate as long as gate voltage is to high,  and introduce a small delay if switch is called at same time.
