Not that it matters much for this demonstration, but European voltage is around 320Vpeak (230Vrms) and 50 Hz.

Well just want to point out that an RC filter is completly inefficient because it requieres big amounts of Cappacitance. Its more efficient if you put an Transistor between them. #CappacitanceMultiplyer
