Is the any proper timer circuit to provide exactly 1 second?

According to 555 Timer equation [T=0.7x(R1+2R2)xC1. In My circuit R1=10k, C1=10uF and R2 is a 100k Potentiometer, so by changing the value of potentiometer i.e. R2 you can change the time period and as u asked for 1 second R2 should be 66.428K resistor precisely
