Connect the 555 correct and the app is working fine. Pin 6 has to be connected to pin 2 instead to 7! Increase supply t e.g. 6V and tune simspeed to 50us/s. Hope this helps.

1ms/s is still to fast in simulation and cause undersampling (to less points to show the how works in reality) 50us/s are 20times more points than for 1ms! BTW your led is burning :-)
