TRIAC equivalent dimming circuit

By increasing or decreasing the cursor position of the variable resistor, we can select the portion of wave that will supply our load (from 1% to 100%). This circuit is the equivalent of a TRIAC (basically composed by two SCRs connected in antiparallel), and it can be used for dimming the light in incandescent bulbs.
