Yes, Robert, not very active at moment, but l'm still around, got to say though, it is a bit boring here most of the time, l miss the banter from last year!!!

EC blocked my comment, unbelievable!!! No wonder it's such a boring site....it's getting so you can't say anything incase it hurts someone's feelings, l suppose this comment will be next to get wiped out!!!!!

Overall I don’t miss the banter since it was largely in bad taste. I do know what you mean though. There are still some good, knowledgeable people on EC but mainly I’d say they are not inclined to help less knowledgeable people. It’s a generalisation I know. Perhaps they have other things they’d rather do: fair enough.

This from the guidelines is probably why you were blocked. "Publishing circuits You are welcome to share educational, professional, playful and incomplete circuits when asking for help. We recommend that class assignments and homework circuits be shared as Unlisted rather than Public. The circuit schematic and description should promote discussion around electronics."

Or, maybe someone reported this circuit because he thought it didn't meet EC criteria! I wonder who that might have been!! You can take the boy out of the " Fun Police " but, can you take the " Fun Police " out of the boy? Let's not forget that keeping circuits private is only a recommendation by EC, so if you want to publish it, then you can publish it, although EC is a bit dictorial in what you can say here, thanks to " lgor the Terrible " but he hasn't started ripping down circuits yet, but give him time, and my last point is, why are you still making it your business to point these so called inappropriate circuits out to EC, you won't get any medals for it mate!!!!!!

The only thing offensive about this post is the grammar. It’s ‘an ass’ not ‘a ass’. I did read @Tedski’s comment before it was blocked and should be surprised by its removal but for EC’s ridiculously arbitrary comment blocking feature. Given any comment, technical or trivial, may be blocked for any arbitrary reason, why would anyone waste the time and attention to provide assistance to other users only to have that effort be for nothing. I realize that EC is not a platform for free speech nor should it be, but the wishy washy way this blocking feature has been implemented simply abdicates reason and responsibility. Given that the dialogue centres around whether the above post is offensive or not, (as obviously it seems some do and some don’t) I can’t help but be ‘amused’ at the irony of the blocking of @Tedski’s comment defending the post’s mild cheekiness. What is the criteria that leads to the comment being blocked over the removal of the post? In this vein, will truly offensive posts be tolerated (and there have been since the implementation of the blocking feature) over the comments decrying it? How is this reasonable?

That being said. I have had comments blocked while simply trying to clear up misunderstandings between other users. I fully expect to have these comments blocked as well. There is simply no reasonable criteria governing the forum other than arbitrary zero tolerance. If you understand this to be oxymoronic, then the kewpie doll is yours

If l pay for an app like this one, then l don't expect to be told that l have to be very careful of hurting some kids Dad's feelings or anyone else's for that matter, no, it's their place to be careful what their kid can access, though lm not saying it is acceptable to use bad language, it's not my problem to worry about them, l bought the app for my use, if the Dev let's in little kids, then let them worry about what they can and can't access, if the app were free, then that's a different case, l didn't use bad language, but still l was blocked, that offends me, but so what, l can't do anything about, so have to accept it, the main point l was trying to make in my blocked comment was that if EC find hat the author was being offensive with the circuit, then they would have blocked it, but they didn't, but a self appointed guardian of the people that we don't need decided it was offensive or inappropriate, we got enough with EC blocking comments without guardian angels helping them,thank you!!!

Once seen, cannot be unseen. A user, yes a parent even, has to trust an electronic app, THEY PAID FOR ALSO, to contain electronic material not social media comments or language they see on a site where it is commonly seen, FB, Twitter, Instagram etc. Doubtful anyone attends a English class and learns French cuss words. lf someone you have never met walked up to you and said this phrase what would your response be to them? Amazing how much you two have had to say over this! Even to suggesting I would call Igor an sob! Why not just let it go, not even Dick2112 cares it seems as much as you two.

Last question, did you pay for this app in the beginning to do social media or electronic information?

Wyoelk, you are contradicting yourself mate, you say we should only talk about electronics in these posts but you started this post with " This is inappropriate. You may say " l was just pointing out that it is inappropriate " well it maybe or may not be, but how is it your place to point it out especially if you can only talk about the electronics? I don't see anything wrong with putting up a circuit and having a bit of banter in the comments, so long as the language is acceptable, it makes it more fun, if you don't agree, well, you can't please everybody!!! And to answer your last question,. I bought it to use how l wanted to use it within in the boundary of the T&C of the app will allow!!
