This advice can lead to corruption if not loss of user data. For Android app Please see your settings where you will find application manager where I suggest you erase data only and do not uninstall the app unless you intend not to use it any longer.

Clearing data of the app will then wipe any credentials saved within the app whereas an uninstall depending upon the apps founding code can prevent reinstalling
