Left most capacitor is 5 to 50 pf adjustable to tune oscillator to operating frequency.  100 nf capacitor is to isolate crystal from DC voltage.
The two 1 uf capacitors and 100,000 Hz generator should be replaced with 100,000 Hz crystal.
Transistors that can be used as negistors are MPS - 5172, 2N2218, 2N2222, 2N697.
Negistor symbol is NPN transistor with "N" marked between  emitter and collector.
