Defective Wiring Located With Help of Radio

Left is heating pad or device with defective wiring.  Right is radio.

Plug both devices in and turn both ON.

Next,  flex different areas of heating pad and listen for snapping sounds from radio.

AM radio tuned to unused part of band made most snapping noise when I used 9 volt battery and shorted terminals. FM seemed to clip snap sounds out.
