this is just a boost converter. and its not good to connect a charging battery in that way. the anode(+) of the charging battery should go to the diodes negative and the cathode(-) should connect to ground. I know the bedini circuit has the run battery (+) connected to the (-) of the charge battery which is why you did it that way in your circuit but this is wrong. It will end up damaging batteries so they no longer are able to hold a charge. as i mentioned before, if you connect the charge battery correctly this circuit is simply a boost converter charging a battery but typically a boost converter has a capacitor not a battery and would be use for the purpose of powering a load that requires a voltage across it thats higher than the supply voltage. This is only an option when the current draw of the load is sufficiently low enough that power requirement doesnt exceed the power from the supply. As we all know nothing can produce more energy than it consumes as that would mean creating something something out of nothing which violates the physical laws governing our entire universe.

That said, the bedini motor doesnt use a boost converter as the circuit. The bedini circuit is a variation of another circuit called a joule thief which performs in a similar way to the boost converter but are used for different applications. The bedini motor is simply a joule thief with only difference being the feedback coil goes to the transistors base from ground instead of a postive voltage. All this change accomplishes is now instead of oscillating on its own like standard jouke thief it has to expend energy to turn a magnet rotor to start it oscillating and increases losses in the circuit. In short, the bedini motor is a less efficient joule thief requiring more effort and resources in its construction. John Bedini really screwed the pooch if his goal was a free energy device. He'd have been just as successful trying to get free energy from my taint. RIP you snake oil selling con man.
