Nothing curious with the capacitor and a 100k resistor in between.

I think it’s a lack of understanding. Sadly people too often put stuff up and people comment and try to help but they seem to never bother to look at their circuit again or maybe do but didn’t bother to comment further. This one is still quite new so there’s still hope.

This comes from the voltage reference for the inspected wire beeing ground. If you put a voltmeter across the Cap, the voltage is continous.
