That's not working; the simulation shows rapidly building current through the 555; hundreds of tthousands of amps. I'm sorry I can't tell you what's wrong, exactly. All I know is that inductors -- including transformer coils -- are strange things. They act like springs, recoiling when the input suddenly changes. When used with transistors and chips, it's usual to put a diode across the inductor to catch any reverse voltage from the recoil.
