Seems to work best for AM amplification

Perhaps a treble (high end) audio frequency amplifier or AM amplifier. It won’t work as well for mid- and low-range audio frequency.

If you increase the 100nF capacitor to 4.7uF then it will work well throughout the whole audio frequency range.

Or if you increase the 100nF capacitor to 10uF and add a 10mF capacitor parallel to the emitter resistor you can get not only good amplification throughout the audio frequency and AM range, but has a much higher amplification meaning that you can reduce the input from 1V to 7.6mV in order to achieve the same output voltage.

God damn jason!! Thanks for the help! I appreciate it. I started out with capacitors like you suggested but since I don't know exactly what are the best capacitors for this range I just took them out since they didn't seem to work for me and ended up shorting the audio source.

You can find the best capacitors with the bode plot. If they are too small they have a bad lower frequency response. If they are too high then they have unnecessary extra low frequency response and it is a waste of materials. The low frequency response should be where it is similar in amplification at 20Hz and 1kHz. If the capacitors are too small the 20Hz won’t be amplified very well.
