A Terra organization without the Capacity to do anything?

EC is a clean and parasitic free biotop. If there are no buildin parasitics like 5pF caps then simspeed is its limit. So in this case. Try it in reality and you will see what your 555 version does has for a parasitic pin capacity and might run at 2MHz. Sure not at TeraHz

No, I'm not talking abouth the speed thing, but the wiring. This is not normal 555 wiring right? Would it even work, pinned like that?

There are tons upon tons of different way to wire un a 555, this for example: http://everycircuit.com/circuit/6325108323385344

Buggzy, "talking" about what?? You just said "haha"

The 555 wiring is normal but the cap is missing. But in reality there would be a capacitance from pins and internal silicon. Maybe 30pF

Real 555 make a wishy-washy noise due to intermodulation distortion and a wildly fluctuating time constant in a crystal earphone if you pull your timing cap. The chip tries to be in to states at once and the frequency becomes either a function of the parasitic capacitance in the cct or the finite rise and fall times of the chip, whichever is lower. Not very useful though.. Imagine how the poor little chip feels.. Your making a hollow mockery of the little guy.. They don't ask for much these 555.. An R and a C and off they go. Not unlike clockwork. Imagine if they never existed, why, people would have to do all their clockwork manually! Have you ever really paid attention to the way time passes? It's relentless.. You'd go insane trying to count past 12 probably.. But the humble timer, never skips a beat. Fun is fun but, you know, time sucks, so the 555 deserves respect for taking the time to time

So this is a good way to check the maximum frequency of your NE555, since every chip will have somewhat different frequency response.

Yes Buggzy, this is what i expect! And do not have to much empathic feelings for a 555 - its just a piece of dead material ;-)

No it's more than dead metal. It's a dead metal with a purpose ;) Not much dead people can say the same
