If you can find a ferrite ring, do it for fun. Make sure you don't over drive the current at the base. Use a large resistor first and then drop it down for best results. You will burn comoenets before it works for you, that I guarantee. Note: For generating a higher voltage at the output than on what's on the input. Once the output voltage drops under the input, the circuit will no longer work. Shake for best enjoyment.
