Flip switch to the inductor contact to see the oscillating of the capacitor discharging and recharging from the inductor. No, it's not free or perpetual energy

Does the red LED get current from the ground side when the switch is pressed via the capacitor? Sorry if this is a stupid question. Great circuit by the way.

When the switch is pressed the ground is removed from the discharging circuit. The current comes from the capacitor discharging and inductor charging/discharging

It will after couple of minutes due to the large capacitor and inductor sizes
