Put a 2k ohm resistor in from the source to the diodes bridge, lower the capacitor down to 47 uF, and put a 1k ohm resistor between the LED and bridge(not to the capacitor, only the LED).

Thanks! Can I ask why the flat spots appear at 0v on the AC supply?

Because the capacitance is fully charged at that point. It's good, because of less amperage draw.

If you put the earth node at the capacitor negative (I.e. the useful voltage) it will probably make more sense.

Also this is just nitpicking but a 230V ac wave actually has amplitude 325V or so. Why EveryCircuit doesn't have an RMS option for alternating supply settings I don't know.

Cuz it was not included in cheapest spice model libraries which author use during program clicking. He itself propably is not skilled well in electronics. And this is common problem in small programs cuz authors do not even understand that rms exist at all. They are mostly informatics. And only some other electronics give them advice and if they are poor.... then we have lot's of errors and zero updates .

Speaking of updates, I was surpised to find no simple ICs in here. Will that come next or can you suggest an alternative app?
