Simple Temp control muffin fan. Replace the variable resistor with a 5k NTC And the 4k resistor can be from 2k to 4k Give it a try if you need a automatic fan control. Can be used for attic fan operation just add a relay, And a couple other parts. I use this for cooling the power supply transformer Of my ham gear.

The circuit has one disadvantage: if the temperature is in a range between 0 and the motor is rotating, then a constant current still flows which drops across the circuit.

This could possibly damage the fan if it were a small PC fan, it would be better to solve this with a diode to limit the switching point

Or you could use an operational amplifier to define a switching point at which the speed is controlled. But a diode would be an elegant, simple solution.
