This is a working lightsensor i've built recently. The light is simulated by the switch. Just imagine, the switch wouldn't be there. I am using green LEDs as the sensor, because they work good. Those are normal LEDs, no photodiodes.

Are you using LEDs in your actual circuit or photodiodes? If LEDS, what color?

I am using green LEDs. This circuit is the integrated circuit of a normal photodiode.
